A Message From Reynada Wall
I started helping with Helping Children Worldwide after seeing something about them on the United Methodist Global Ministries and Mission website while looking for mission trips for our church to attend. The Child Reintegration Center was listed, and I was curious. I reached out, and they are working on setting up systems to help place and keep families together, to place children in homes and not orphanages or the streets. Ultimately, they are developing a social work program.
When I started volunteering with them, I told Dustin and my friends "I think I'm going to end up in Sierra Leone."
Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I was on a meeting with the teams, and was asked if I would consider going to Sierra Leone in October. So, I said yes. I'm going to Sierra Leone in October for two weeks with some of the team from the U.S. to work with the Sierra Leone team. Never did I think I would go to Africa, but I have been on the receiving end of "discipline" when I didn't listen or do what God said. This is absolutely a God thing, because this is completely outside by comfort zone!
