As we celebrate 25 years of transforming lives through the Child Reintegration Centre (CRC), one beloved tradition has remained constant — the CRC Family Empowerment Christmas Party.
Each year during the holiday season, CRC brings together the children and families in their program for a joyous day of fellowship, a shared meal, dancing, and learning about the hope of the season. For families who have faced so much hardship, this is a moment to come together in love and celebration.
But the needs are great — and that’s why we begin preparing now.
In Sierra Leone, the holidays can be an especially difficult time. Food insecurity is widespread, and too many children are forced to leave home in search of food or comfort. One of the most important parts of our Christmas celebration is ensuring that every family leaves with a bag of rice — a precious gift that helps them stay together and nourished through the season and into the new year.
