Go For Bo 2020

Go For Bo 2020

About This Campaign

Nine years ago, Ebenezer United Methodist Church hosted the first Go for Bo 5K race in Stafford, Virginia. Since 2011, with the heroic efforts of the team at Ebenezer UMC and the generous support of the church and community, this annual event has raised nearly $300,000 to support Helping Children Worldwide and the programs at the Child Reintegration Centre and Mercy Hospital. The Child Reintegration Centre cares for nearly 600 children and youth by providing for their education, medical care, and spiritual mentoring. Mercy Hospital provides medical care to more than 10,000 people every year, regardless of their ability to pay, through in-hospital care and mobile village outreach. Your support of this event has a huge impact on the lives of vulnerable children and their families in Sierra Leone.  Please note: your donation to Go for Bo does not support the cost of the race, which is covered by race registration. If you would like to register for the race, please visit the race website at goforbo.org and click on "Run."

Campaign to Support Helping Children Worldwide

Helping Children Worldwide focuses on children and families affected by extreme poverty, with a focus on access to education and health care, child survival, and maternal care.   By partnering with local government organizations and the local church, we support education, childhood nutrition, infant and maternal survival, and family stability.
